 Updated Network Maps | February 7th 2010
We have updated all 6 network maps as of today (February 7th 2010) and we have also changed the file document type from .JPEG to .PDF, making the maps even more accessible and easy to navigate and use than before. Routes shown on the maps have a daytime Monday - Friday frequency of every 30 minutes.

 Mayor leads tributes to Stagecoach | January 22nd 2010
A message from the Mayor of Barnsley was one of many tributes of praise for drivers at leading bus operator Stagecoach Yorkshire for efforts to keep services going during the recent snow. The Mayor Cllr John Parkinson contacted Stagecoach thanking drivers for their valiant work through the recent snow.

 Extra Stagecoach services on the way... | January 18th 2010
Stagecoach Yorkshire has announced a number of service changes across South Yorkshire from January 30th, which will result in extra buses and extra services in Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield as a result. This includes new service 22 operating between Barnsley Interchange and Gilroyd via Dodworth Road.

 Easyjet to fly from Robin Hood Airport | December 11th 2009
Easyjet has announced it is to start flying from Doncaster's Robin Hood Airport - just days after quitting a rival airport. On Monday it said it would end flights from East Midlands Airport on January 5th to go to "more profitable" airports. The news comes as yet more passenger levels decrease at the airport.

 First SY bus fare increases from January 3rd | December 11th 2009
Passengers in South Yorkshire face a massive hike in ticket prices on First buses in the new year - triggering outrage from residents and councillors. Prices are to rise well over the rate of inflation, with average fares increasing 7.5%, and some monthly passes jumping nearly 9%.

 Electrify the Midland Mainline | December 11th 2009
Politicians and business leaders are urging the Government to electrify the Midland Main Line, to boost the economy, tackle congestion and protect the environment. An electric train service from London to the East Midlands and Sheffield could boost the regions’ economies by up to £19 million per year.

 The Circle relaunch | November 16th 2009
Buses on a popular South Yorkshire route which attracts thousands of shoppers and commuters every day are to get a new look as part of a major relaunch. Leading bus operator Stagecoach Yorkshire has created a special green and yellow logo for the Circle services 108 and 109 in Rotherham.

 Stagecoach Yorkshire Industrial Action! | November 16th 2009
Union officials from Unite, have alerted us that they are proceeding ahead with strike action at Stagecoach Yorkshire from Monday November 23rd and for the next 2 consecutive Mondays beyond this date (November 30th & December 7th). This follows a work to rule act, which came into effect last week.
