Welcome to the new Gallery section of the South Yorkshire Transport website. This section will house all background photo submissions sent in to us from the September 2009 background photo poll, which takes place monthly on the forum. Photos will be organsied into set months, where you will be able to view all photos that have been submitted to us, even those that didn't make it through the rigorous process to make it into the poll on the forum (6 photos per month).

You can only submit photos if A) You're a member of the forum and B) You submit them in the usual timeframe, usually between the 17th and 23rd of each month, though this can change slightly at certain points of the year, especially in February on non-gap years. For further details on this, please always check the forum announcements regarding the background photos. Any photos that are submitted out of this time frame will be ignored.

Please note that all new pictures submitted in to us for the background competition should be sent to background[@]sy-transport.co.uk and you should leave a quick and brief description of where the photo was taken and if you can remember, what day and time it was taken. All photos must be at least 768 pixels wide by 568 pixels high. Any photos that we receive that are smaller than this size will not be added to the collection for the month specified. Remember you need to be a member of the forum to submit photos in for the background poll.

If you have any further questions or feedback on the new Gallery section, the please get in contact with us as soon as is practically possible. Also the Gallery section will not be fully updated until the 23rd September 2009, when all entries are then received. This will be the same with every consecutive month.

To view the photos, please select which year you wish to view the submitted photos from in the Site Navigation area and then select your chosen month from the drop down list available.
